Singleness is a topic that gets talked about a lot, but most people who create content for singles have already moved past that stage. They’re married now (happy or not), and sometimes they forget what it really feels like to be single, especially if they were only single for a short time. It’s like when someone thinner than you complains about losing weight while you’re working on losing some, but you feel uncomfortable because you know their process isn’t the same as yours. And I say this with love, because we’ve all been there, but the situations are different.

In many churches, especially after the young adult phase, there’s a gap that isn’t always easy to fill. Singles who grew up in church, many of whom haven’t married, often feel a bit misplaced in this new space. For a long time, I didn’t want to get involved in women’s ministry because I couldn’t relate to the many responsibilities of wives and mothers, since my situation was different. But as I’ve grown and my vision has expanded, I’m now much more open to connecting with women, seeking to build healthy friendships. However, I still long to find other singles to share life with.

That’s why I’m creating Singles Unanimous — a space for those who have experienced prolonged singleness to share, support each other, and grow together in our faith, careers, and personal lives. Today, fortunately, there are more voices rising to speak directly to other singles, but it’s still uncommon.

It’s time for singles to have a place where we can build community, where our experiences are validated, and where we can find support as we continue growing while remaining strong in what God has for us. We’re not alone, and Singles Unanimous is that bridge to connect our stories, struggles, and dreams. I hope you’ll join us on this journey!
